Find the cheapest fuel near you

CheapFills shows you what petrol and diesel actually cost at filling stations near you, so you can decide where to fill up without driving around comparing pump signs. Enter a postcode or use your location, pick your fuel type, and you'll get a list ordered by price — with directions to whichever station you choose.

Where the prices come from

Prices come from Fuel Finder, the UK Government's statutory fuel-price scheme. Retail forecourts selling petrol or diesel to the public are required to register and to report price changes within 30 minutes. We currently track over 8,000 stations and refresh from the scheme every 15 minutes.

Reports can still occasionally be late, missing or incorrect, so every result shows when its price was last updated and you can judge how much to trust it. Always check the price on the pump before filling up.

How "best value" works

Sorting by price alone can be misleading — a station 8 miles away at 2p per litre cheaper may cost you more once you've driven there. Choose Best value and CheapFills weighs the saving at the pump against the fuel used getting there and back, based on a 45 litre fill at 40 mpg. Sometimes the nearest station really is the sensible choice.

Common questions

Is CheapFills free?

Yes. It's free to use, there's nothing to sign up for, and we take no commission from retailers.

How often do prices update?

Retailers are required to report price changes to Fuel Finder within 30 minutes, and we refresh from the scheme every 15 minutes. Reports can still occasionally be late, which is why each result shows its own last-updated time.

Why is the price different when I arrive?

Retailers can change prices at any time, and there's always a short lag between a price changing and being reported. Treat what you see here as a strong guide rather than a guarantee, and check the pump.

Do you track me?

We don't track you across websites or build an advertising profile about you. There are no accounts, no advertising trackers and no tracking cookies — in fact we store nothing on your device at all. We use privacy-preserving, first-party aggregate analytics to understand basic site usage. If you use the location button, your coordinates are used for that search and aren't stored. See our privacy policy.

Which areas does it cover?

The whole of the UK, using Fuel Finder, the government's statutory fuel-price scheme. Retail forecourts are required to report their prices, although individual stations or prices can occasionally be missing, delayed or incorrect. Remote areas also naturally have fewer filling stations than towns and cities.

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes — it's built for phones, and the location button plus the Directions link make it quick to use when you're already out. You can add it to your home screen like an app.
