CheapFills is operated by Cactara Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales (company number 16869473). By using the site you agree to these terms ("you").

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

1. What CheapFills is

CheapFills is a free tool that shows fuel prices reported by filling stations across the UK, so you can find cheaper fuel near you. It is an information service. We don't sell fuel, we aren't affiliated with any retailer, and we take no commission from anyone.

2. Where the prices come from — and the important caveat

Prices come from the UK Government Fuel Finder scheme, where retailers report their own prices. We show that data as we receive it. We don't set prices, verify them, or control how promptly a retailer updates them.

Always check the price on the pump before you fill up. A price shown here may be out of date, mistyped by the retailer, or no longer available. We show you when each price was last updated so you can judge for yourself, but please treat everything on this site as a guide rather than a guarantee.

The same goes for distances, directions and the "best value" estimate — they're calculated on simple assumptions (a 45 litre fill at 40 mpg) and are there to help you compare, not to be exact.

3. Availability

We aim to keep CheapFills up and working, but it's provided free and without any guarantee of availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw it at any time — including if the underlying data source changes or becomes unavailable to us.

4. Fair use

Please use CheapFills as an ordinary visitor would. Specifically, don't:

• scrape, bulk-download or systematically harvest the data;
• use automated tools to hammer the site or work around rate limits;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service;
• republish the data as if it were your own, or in a way that implies we endorse you.

We may block access if the site is being misused, so that it stays available for everyone else.

5. Liability (kept simple and fair)

Nothing here excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or dishonesty.

Beyond that: CheapFills is a free information service, and we aren't liable for losses arising from relying on the information shown — for example, driving to a station and finding the price has changed, or the station is closed. Please check before you commit to a journey.

6. Other people's content

Map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors and is used under their licence. Fuel price data originates from the UK Government Fuel Finder scheme. Station names and brands belong to their respective owners, and appear here for identification only.

7. Privacy

We collect as little as possible and there are no accounts. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
